One of the most significant artists in this gallery, Mel Odom’s erotic work for Blueboy was created toward the beginning of a career that included covers and other illustrations for Time, Playboy, Rolling Stone and the New York Times, as well as numerous book covers. He created the collectable fashion doll Gene Marshall, a fictional 1940s movie star. Both Gene and Mel have books about their work. Mel’s is called Dreamer (Penguin Books) and is a collection of his illustrations.
